You may have been one of those kids who wanted to ride it over and over again. Or, maybe you were the one who really wanted to, but couldn’t get past the guttural fear. Well, I wasn’t either of those kids. I really, genuinely did NOT want to go on that ride (cue horrible memory of vomiting off the side of a full motion roller coaster!). Regardless of what GOT me on the roller coaster (peer pressure, a need to please, or curiosity) the truth is, it felt amazing getting off that ride. It was almost amazing enough to want to do it again! The “Fear vs. Bravery Ride” works the same in adult life as in childhood. When you take scary steps to becoming your next-level self, you get a rush, and it may just be the unforeseen momentum that will keep you moving forward. This journey really is a roller coaster. It’s a wild ride involving growth, setbacks, learning, and moments of practice, highs, and many, many lows. Everyone’s starting point is exactly that: the start! As we keep trying, we move forward: learning, growing, and improving. All amazing stuff, but we had to start the journey. Here is some sage advice: let it suck! Embrace the terrible. Keep moving forward. Keep trying new things. Keep showing up for yourself and your dreams. And how do you do that? Get. On. The. Roller coaster! You must act. Lean in. Make waves. You must do the scary things when they present themselves. Scary sucks! It really does, but the “scary” and “uncomfortable” places are the only route to true self change, growth, and success. So, DO the scary thing. Be brave. Go all in…and hold on. It’s going to be a fun ride! Ask yourself: what scary thing have you been avoiding? What scary action step will get you one inch closer to your next-level self? What can you do today?

"You can get to where you want to be from where you are- but you must stop spending so much time noticing and talking about what you do not like about where you are." -Esther Hicks By now, you can probably tell I’m a big fan of this little thing we call the Universe and all its cosmic wonders and gifts. Call it whatever you want: the Universe, God, angels, guides, divine intelligence, consciousness, Love; there are endless versions and truthfully, it doesn’t matter. What does matter is that you have a relationship to something greater than yourself, and that you believe in a power, a force, a truth…that guides, supports, and works with you. With belief and trust in this power, you can really step into your own and the ability to be the co-creator of your life, hand in hand with the Universe’s divine energy. This is where the big magic happens, real magic! This is you getting into the groove with the Universe and mastering your manifestation abilities. I joke with my husband that I manifested him into my life (he thinks it was his undeniable charm and good looks that drew me into his world). The truth is, I was working hard to learn the art of manifestation. I figured if I could tap into this divine intelligence (the Universe), then maybe I would have a shot at meeting a decent guy and shot at having the family life I’d always desired and dreamed of. So I Feng Shui’d the heck out of my house, did visualizations, created vision boards, joined dating sites, and started to just have FUN with my new job, calling the perfect relationship into my life. It was a process, a real journey, and it didn’t all magically happen overnight. However, it did happen and I know that my trust in the Universe (matched with the action I was putting into this manifestation exercise) had a LOT to do with the end result: a loving marriage at the core of a flourishing young family. Here are the manifestation guidelines that I implemented on my journey to find love. I continue to work with these to deepen my understanding and trust within. 1. What you focus on, you create more of. Gabby Bernstein teaches that we’re constantly manifesting every day, consciously or unconsciously. “You are always a YES for something.” She explains that you’re either a yes for what you want or a yes for what you don’t want. Simply put, whatever you’re focusing on is what you’re attracting more of into your life. Stop obsessing over your fears, stop giving energy to the “shouldn’t, couldn’t, wouldn’t, and can’t” words dominating your thoughts and driving the feelings connected to them. Now, start focusing on what you do want, on what is already working and making you feel positive. Ask yourself: based on your focus alone, what are you saying YES to? 2. How does it feel, not how does it look. We manifest and create based on how we FEEL. Our emotions and energy act like a magnet in our lives, attracting things which share a similar vibration and energy to us. With that understanding, your main goal is to focus on feeling good! Get into the energy of who you want to be and how it FEELS to live the life you’re co-creating. The "how" and “what it looks like”, that bit isn’t your job. Your job is knowing how it feels and then allowing yourself to FEEL IT right now! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3. It’s already done. I’m a recovering controller, worrier, and over-analyzer, so this “surrender” step can sometimes trip me up. Letting go isn’t easy and takes practice (the Universe knows I’ve had to learn the hard way). However, when I fully surrender and know that it’s done, true magic always follows. It never fails. Give it up and turn over your darn calendar. It’ll happen when it happens. The thing to remember is that you must surrender and TRUST that it WILL happen. Trust that it is coming your way, even if it's not according to your "timeline" or if it doesn’t look like you imagined. The Universe has a better plan anyways...and guess what? It knows all about this little thing called divine timing. ⠀⠀ Let it go and know that it’s already done. We’re all in the process of becoming the truest versions of ourselves. This is a journey. Each day you’re making decisions to show up as her, to take action, to be vulnerable and scared, to get uncomfortable, and to grow. It's an ongoing process of self-development and expansion. It gets messy, with many exciting and stomach-churning twists and turns, but there’s a simple secret weapon to it all. It’s one I learned a little later in life, but do you want in on it? It is: ENJOY THIS PROCESS! Huh? I hear your minds: “This is supposed to be fun?” Heck yes, it’s fun! Be excited about this journey, so that nothing can slow you down! Embrace each moment, be present, and find the beauty and joy exactly where you are…and within everything. As Gabby Bernstein teaches, the universe works fast when you are having FUN! It is all about your energy and becoming a vibrational match for what you desire. When you feel good you attract good into your life! How do you feel today? What can you do today to shift back into an energy and vibration of good? Do you remember the person you use to be before you had children? The answer is probably not.
Trust me, she still exists - or a least a version of her still does. Life gets crazy. You get caught up in the routine, the responsibilities and the rush of it all. It’s very easy to lose sight of your own identity. This disconnection from self happens to most moms. The role is so all consuming that it swallows you whole, taking your own identity with it. This is completely normal, but it does not have to stay like this. INCORPORATING THINGS THAT BRING YOU JOY AND INSPIRATION IS THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP IN MAINTAINING YOUR SENSE OF SELF. Here is a journaling exercise that will guide back to yourself. It will help you reconnect to those unique dreams, desires, and passions. The goal is to help you uncover the things that fuel your soul, give you energy, and make you light up. EXERCISE - FREE WRITING Take 10 min to sit quietly in a comfortable space with a pen and paper. The goal is to write down whatever comes to mind. DO NOT edit yourself or worry about what it sounds like. This is just for you. Be unapologetic and honest about the answers. Answer the following questions
· What if I wrote a book? · What if I taught yoga? · What if I started a cooking blog? · What if I ran a half marathon? This exercise should leave you with a clear vision of how you like to spend your time, what types of things fuel your soul. It’s important now to own and honor this part of you. Summarize what you have uncovered, write it down and come back to it when you need reminded. Once we start intentionally making time for the things that bring us JOY you will be amazed by the energy this type of inspiration provides us. Set the intention to incorporate one SIMPLE thing that brings you joy everyday. 4 Ways to Keep your Mindset Healthy
Maintaining a healthy mindset takes time and constant practice. Just like the muscles in your body, the more you use and “workout” your mindset the stronger it will become. It’s important that we do practices and activities EVERYDAY to keep your mindset positive and aligned to your true self. Here are some simple everyday practices to help strengthen our mindset. Surround yourself with like minded people Take a look around you. Who are you spending your time with? Is their energy lifting you up or bringing you down? Do you feel energized after spending time with them or do you feel tired and drained? The people around you have an incredible impact on your mental wellness. Surrounding yourself with positive, loving, supportive people is the FIRST and most critical piece in keeping a healthy mindset. Find the people who lift you up, inspire you and encourage you. Having this kind of support around you creates a safe space for you to be your authentic self. These people allow you to grow and strengthen into the best version of you. Who are your people? Affirmations Creating and using affirmations each day is a guaranteed way to shift your mindset and start creating positive change in your life. Journal Free writing can be a very useful technique to tune into your intuition and connect with your inner wisdom. This is a safe space where you can let it all go. Just let the words flow out of you. Sit with yourself for 5 min every day - get quite and listen. You can ask yourself a question or, if you don’t have a specific question to ask, just start with ‘what do I need to know today?’ Then sit silently and see what comes up. Taking the time to connect with our “thinking” in this way and release any negative thoughts on paper we’ll be able to create more space an opportunity to shift. Meditate Everything I know about mediation I have learnt from my close friend Michelle @lesonsfrom4am In Michelle’s words... If you are serious about changing your mindset and making major shifts in your life, a daily meditation practice is an essential tool to add to your routine. Meditation gives you the opportunity to clear your head and improve your focus. It creates a space from you to let go of negative thinking and visualize new possibilities for your life. These beliefs are not necessarily TRUE, they have just been embedded into your subconscious and are now blocking your abundance. Ask yourself these questions - What have I been told about money? As Dani Watson teaches, for something to the true it must be 100% true, 100% of the time, for 100% of people. Therefore, all of these would be considered false, just a limiting belief. The good news is, once we uncover our deep-rooted limiting beliefs, we can replace them with more empowering thoughts and beliefs. How do we do this? Affirmations are a great tool to start reprogramming and replacing these limiting beliefs. Once you have identified your limiting beliefs, think of an empowering positive belief you can replace it with. Write these affirmations on post it notes and place them around your house. Make sure you see these multiple times a day and repeat these positive affirmations ALL DAY, EVERY DAY. Remember, repetition and consistency are KEY when it comes to using affirmations to replace and reprogram your deep-rooted beliefs. STEP 2: CHANGE YOUR MONEY FREQUENCY When you think about Money, what is the physical response in your body?
We say we want abundance and more money in our lives however, the thought of money creates stress in in our body. The thought of money brings up uncomfortable feelings and emotions. So, even if you say you want to be wealthy and abundance if you don’t have positive FEELING when you think of money, this manifestation will not materialize. Remember, WE MANIFEST BY HOW WE FEEL. Therefore, we need to shift our money frequency in order to call in more abundance. We need to FEEL GOOD when we think about money in order to call more money into our lives. Pay close attention to how you FEEL when the subject of money comes up. If we can start shifting these low frequency feelings and replacing them with positive high vibrating feelings - this is when true change will take place. STEP 3: FEEL ABUNDANT NOW Gabby Bernstein teaches, Abundance is an Inside Job. She teaches that being abundant begins first with feeling abundant. How can you feel wealthy and abundant now? You can act as if you already are. Those GOOD feelings are available to you today. You don’t need to wait until the money is in your bank account to feel the abundance. The relationship most of us have with money is a challenging one. No wonder this is THE BIGGEST BLOCK in most our lives. Once we start to uncover our deep-rooted beliefs around money, we can start to take actions to change our money frequency and mindset. Remember, ABUNDANCE IS AN INSIDE JOB.
